It
was another busy day as usual around the property. The roof started moving
along at the pace we were hoping for yesterday. Some details were worked out
and we got an assembly line going using all available hands. Pictured here is
Joel Greening passing a steel panel up to the crew on the roof. Matt Penny and
Matt Penman were also part of the process bringing the sheets to Joel and
helping to push them up.
Pictured
here is Keith McIntosh with the cutting wheel getting ready to cut the joint
on the hip-rafter. It's a lot less trouble cutting after it's been applied
than doing it before hand
Of
course, while all this is going on, especially the noise of the steel cutting
saw, Queen Kong seems to be able to nap through it all! And I thought my cats
had it easy! They can't even hold a candle to this animal!

Penny,
Caitlin & Meagan got going with the craft classes. They got through 8
classes today with 2 left for tomorrow. The kids seemed eager and were
concentrating very hard on the project.
Pictured
here is Penny with the class and Caitlin (right) and Meagan (left) lending a
hand individually.

Greg
Penny, Aletha Kirkwood, Lynn Beaudry & Meagan Penman were working hard at
filling the joints taday in the medical centre. Eric Nowak joined for the crew
after helping me finish the photos of children not present on Monday. This
place is going to look great with paint on the walls! When I think back to
what was there two years ago the transformation is astounding!
Wilma, Ruth
& Lisa spent a good amount of time painting the front gates today. I believe
Caitlin joined them after finishing with the craft classes.

It
seems the new warehouse wasn't big enough - either that or Larry came up with
more ideas after it was built. So they are adding about 4500 sq. ft on one
side of it. The walls were already up and we started putting up the rafters
today. Forty rafters went up over the 200' length of the addition. Time now
for strapping and steel!
Here
is a picture of the new warehouse and you can see the extension on the side. I
believe it actually measures 250' by 40'
Robert
Cousins and his wife Sheila joined our group today coming from Costa Rica.
They've been here a few days just 5 km down the road with some other people
and have now come to be part of our team for two or three days. It's great to
have them with us.
