Well, we got down to business today.
Water
and gravel were delivered for mixing cement, and the blocks were piled ready to
be used. Some back-fill went in, trenches were dug and re-bar was assembled.
The
ladies continued with the uniforms. The shorts are done and the skirts are
almost finished. Apparently Velcro is hard to find in Managua. The blouses are
next on the list.
The
“geeks” were diagnosing the computers trying to decide what was worth fixing
and what we would scavenge. So far we have enough keyboards, monitors and mice
for the 8 station computer lab. Now all we need are 3 more complete computers!
The
kids start school at 7:30 and the youngest ones are fed at 11 and the rest at
noon.
The
donated clothing has been sorted and will be distributed Tuesday or Wednesday
evening to some needy families.
Ross
McIntee celebrated his 80th birthday today and here is a picture of
him at breakfast.
“Hans”
– the Great Dane after a long day of supervising the various projects (ha
ha!).
